    For most companies, there isn't a network effect. Each buyer transacts independent of other buyers. Your purchase of a chair doesn't really depend on others. Recently, tech companies have blurred the difference with network effects. Others do matter. But for tech communities, the network is the *primary* thing.

    A startup is a company, a society is a community. A startup is selling a product to an individual (or a small business, or a big company). It's an economic transaction. A society is evangelizing a way of life to an individual (or a family, or a subcommunity). It's social membership.

    What’s a web3 sector that took too long or hasn’t lived up to the hype? Enough so that you got disillusioned and moved on? For me it’s tokenized real world assets. For others, it’s self sovereign identity, DAO coordination, merchant payments, governance, scalability, etc

    IIRC, we do OG parsing server side on a schedule. The issue may be because the client cached the post too quickly before the server could parse and send the info down. cc @sds

    I understand why you say that, but disagree. r/keto is in the top 1% of subreddits, with 3.2M people. They absolutely do design their lives around keto — they're thinking about it daily, at every meal.
